Cryptostephanus, rod afričkih lukovičastih trajnica iz porodice zvanikovki, dio tribusa Haemantheae. Postoje tri su priznate vrste, dvije su po životnom obliku geofiti i jedna hemikriptofit [1].
Rod i tipična vrsta Cryptostephanus densiflorus su opisani 1878.[2]
