Meher Baba's flag (interpretation). Except for two, there is no exact interpretation of the colors of Meher Baba's flag and thus it is not copyrightable. To help settle a dispute, Meher Baba specified the positioning of only two colors: red at the bottom because it symbolized lust and anger, and sky blue at the top because it symbolized the highest state of spirituality. Baba suggested the total of bands be seven because they represented the seven planes of consciousness; adding that they also represented sanskaras. He left the selection of the other colors to personal taste ("Arrangement of the other five colors is your decision." – Lord Meher, Kalchuri, p. 618). The colors are also found in many rainbow flags used around the world.
